Yesterday I was making a few things that you would think to normally buy including whole wheat bread and PEANUT BUTTER! I love peanut butter on sandwiches, pancakes, chocolate, apples, in ice cream, and basically anything else. I'm also a huge fan of crunchy peanut butter. I decided to go ahead and try to make my own. What you will be needing.....
-1 c salted peanuts
-1 tbsp vegetable oil
-sugar to taste
-food processor
Here's how it can be done.....
Step 1- Add the first 1/2 cup of peanuts into your food processor along with the tbsp of oil.
Step 2- Blend until it starts to get pasty then add the other peanuts.
Step 3- If it is too thin for you, you can add more peanuts.
Step 4- Add sugar to taste.
Step 5- Jar it up and refrigerate it!
Unless you have an amazingly good food processor and you blend it for hours, the peanut butter will turn out a little crunchy which I love! Hope all of you peanut butter freaks found this helpful considering it's so much healthier than, say Skippy which is loaded with bad stuff you don't want on your sandwiches everyday. If you have any requests on DIY's, I would be more than happy to do a little research and make some food to show you all! Just leave it in the comments below!

Sleek Oh So Special Natural Eye Look
Here is the other eye look I promised you guys using my new Oh So Special palette from Sleek. It's a natural eye look with a small winged out liner which is going to be really big this coming season. I loved creating this look and hope you like it just as much as I do! What I used......
-Too Faced Shadow Insurance
- Sleek Oh So Special palette
- Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner in Blackest Black
- MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Engraved
- MAC False Lashes Mascara in False Black (to read a quick review on this click here)
Here's how to achieve this look.....
Step 1- Prime your entire eyelid.
Step 2- Apply Organza from the Sleek palette all over the lid.
Step 3- In the crease and angling down to the outer corner of the lash line, apply Boxed from the Sleek palette.
Step 4- Using the gel liner, create a small winged liner.
Step 4- On the inner corner of the eye using the gel liner, create a point to add a bit of intensity.
Step 5- Go into the waterline with MAC's Powerpoint Pencil in Engraved.
Step 6- Add mascara.
Here's what it should look like when you're all finished:
I love how intense and almost bird-like the liner when your eyes are open and so natural and subtle when closed. It's like a POW! every time you open. As always, you don't need to go out and buy the exact products I used. Match similar ones that you already have to create your own spin on it!

MAC False Lashes Mascara
I've been in need of a new mascara so I stopped by MAC and picked up this one. It's MAC's False Lash in False Black. The packaging is super cute! I'm not quite sure why, but it kinda reminds me of a genie in a bottle.
This mascara is not super dramatic which is good for everyday use. The only thing negative I have noticed about this mascara is that it can get a bit clumpy, but it's easily fixed. Otherwise, I'm really liking it! Hope you enjoyed and keep an eye out for my new look using the Sleek palette!

Nail Polish Beauty: Essie's Damsel in a Dress
I found this beauty at my local CVS recently and thought I would share with you guys the fact that it's fantabulous! It's a dark plum color with undertones of lighter purples and when the light hits it, gorgeousness! This color is perfect for the upcoming winter and cooler seasons. The packaging is super practical. I think it's definitely worth picking up!
Always,
Britta
I recommend applying a top coat over two Damsel in a Dress coats for an even glossier look!

Loving at the Moment
I got this product recently from mark. and thought I would talk a little about why I'm so into it. Tinted moisturizers are perfect for summer weather, people (like me) with dryer skin, and those who would like a sheer coverage face product. I have the shade buff/natural which I think isn't dark enough to give me much of a tint. I'm thinking I'm going to need to go a shade up. If you have problems finding the perfect color for yourself, these are awesome because they are so forgiving when it comes to color. If you're a little bit off, you won't look orange or ghastly pale. Most of the time, it won't look like you even have any face makeup on which is always good. If you want a lot of coverage, this is not something for you. Another reason why I love this stuff is the fact that it's a moisturizer. I have to put moisturizer on every morning and having this as my moisturizer and face makeup allows me to skip an extra step. It's a two-in-one! Gotta love those!
You can buy your own Get a Tint here for $10.00!

Yummy PB Rice Krispie Treats
ngHomemade Rice Krispie Treats have always been a favorite of mine. They are so easy to make and you can eat them right away. They're perfect after school treats! With a touch of peanut butter, they are so delicious! All you need is.....
1) 3 tbsp. butter
2) bag of mini marshmallows (the minis melt faster)
4) 6 cups Rice Krispie Cereal
5) heaping spoon smooth peanut butter
6) large pot
7) wooden spoon
8) Pyrex pan (or other pan)
Step 1: On SIM, melt the butter. If you have it any higher than simmer, the butter will burn and your treats will taste not so yummy.
Step 2: Once the butter is completely melted, pour in the marshmallows.
Step 3: Add a heaping spoonful of peanut butter after you have melted the marshmallows.
How pretty is this marble looking marshmallow/peanut butter mixture?! |
Step 4: Pour in the cereal and stir until completely mixed together.
Step 5: Scoop out into a pan of your choice. Do not grease pan!!!
Wah-lah! You have your easy after school treat! Also perfect for slumber parties and other small get-togethers. You can play with the amount of peanut butter depending on how much you love the stuff or leave it out completely if you're not the biggest fan to make a classic Rice Krispie Treat.

Help Out in Africa!
I've been learning a lot about this drought that is going on in Africa and all the children and families who are dying from a number of things including starvation and dehydration which leads to sicknesses and so on. When my mom first showed me a picture of a starving little boy on the top headlines of CNN, I honestly asked her if it was fake. That's how sad it was! I'm looking around at all the makeup purchases I've made lately and thought, "Wow! That money could go to a child like that instead of to make my eyelids or lips a cute color." Children like this have struggles being fed let alone wearing makeup! I'm thinking about organizing a project to help out, but in the meantime, you can donate here to unicef: https://secure.unicefusa.org/site/Donation2?df_id=10380&10380.donation=form1
Always,

Picture that started my yearn to help. From CNN. I know it's not what you want to see, but it's reality right now for this hungry child. Help out and donate what you can. |

Makeup Necessity: Nuetrogena Moisture Shine Lip Soother
cI got this lip gloss for my birthday about a year and a half ago and I still carry it around with me wherever I go. Usually when I get chapped lips, I don't want to put on lip gloss but this product does wonders to your lips. It makes them feel really fresh and cool. The smell is amazing! Almost like lemon tea. My friends love it just as mush as I do! The taste isn't as delicious as the smell but it's not terrible. It is also SPF 20 which is a definite bonus! Mine is in Shine 30, which I don't think you can get anymore. Now, they just have different colors you can get them in, but it's the same stuff. I love it to death and for $5.49 (at the Neutrogena site), it's worth checking out. Here is a pic of one of them I got from the Nuetrogena website of this miracle gloss.
Always,
Britta
